PANAJI: The mortal remains of 21 victims of the Arpora fire tragedy have been transported with full dignity to their home states, including Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Assam and West Bengal.The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said the Government of Goa has ensured complete assistance to the families during the process.In an official statement, the Office of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said the administration has provided “all necessary support in facilitating the respectful transportation of the mortal remains along with their next of kin,” coordinating closely with authorities in the respective states.Meanwhile, arrangements for the remaining four victims are currently underway. The CMO added that these too will be carried out “with proper dignity and in close coordination with their families and the concerned state authorities.”The State government has been overseeing logistics, documentation and inter-state liaison as part of efforts to ensure smooth and respectful repatriation of the deceased.
