PORVORIM: A 75-year-old woman was allegedly abused and physically assaulted by her son and daughter-in-law at Paithan, Salvador-de-Mundo, Bardez, on October 30.
According to the complaint, the incident took place around 10.30 pm while the elderly woman was speaking to her elder daughter over the phone. The accused allegedly abused her and assaulted her with slaps, punches and kicks.
The complaint further alleges that her son, Bablo Gadkar, hit her on the left hand with the handle of a spade, causing injuries. His wife Kritika alias Ranjeeta is also named as an accused.
Porvorim Police registered an offence on October 31 at 5.03 pm based on the woman's written complaint.
Further investigation is underway under the supervision of ASI Sandeep Ghodge of Porvorim Police Station.
