From kidneys to hearts and livers — each transplant is a powerful reminder of what compassion, coordination, and medical excellence can achieve. Our deepest gratitude goes to the donor families, who in moments of unimaginable loss, chose to say YES to organ donation. Your courage has gifted life to others. We are also strengthening our infrastructure to support this life-saving movement. Goa Medical College is equipped to carry out kidney and liver transplants, with preparations underway for heart and lung transplants in collaboration with specialised hospitals. By streamlining protocols for brain death certification, enabling timely organ retrieval, and building public awareness, Goa is shaping a people-first, responsive model of care.
