Women Leaders from ST & OBC Community Join AAP in Presence of MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas

Margao, 1st December 2025:In a strong endorsement of AAP’s growing influence across rural and tribal belts of Goa, three prominent women leaders — Tejaswini Gaonkar (Rivona), Sanjavi Velip (Barcem), and Adv. Samiksha Kholkar (Khola) — joined the Aam Aadmi Party today at the hands of AAP MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas. The entry of these young and dynamic ST–OBC women leaders marks a significant organisational expansion for AAP, especially at a time when Goa’s tribal community has been expressing frustration with the BJP’s neglect and broken promises.Speaking at the joining, Tejaswini Gaonkar said:“BJP has continuously betrayed the ST community. Our villages are ignored, our youth are ignored, and our issues remain unresolved. On the other hand, AAP’s work — especially the health camps that reached even our remote areas — is commendable. It motivates educated youth like me to join AAP and serve our community with honesty.”Sanjavi Velip said:“For years, no political party has brought real services to our villages. AAP’s health camps helped hundreds of people in our area. This kind of genuine work inspired me to join AAP. I want to stand with a party that actually works for common people.”Adv. Samiksha Kholkar added:“AAP’s outreach in rural Goa is unmatched. While other parties only come during elections, AAP has been consistently present on the ground — helping families, organising free health services, and listening to people. This is politics with purpose, and I am proud to join AAP.”Welcoming them, MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas said:“These young leaders represent the strength, resilience and aspirations of Goa’s ST and OBC communities. Their joining strengthens our fight against injustice and gives a powerful message — that people want honest, service-driven politics. AAP will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them in every struggle for their community.”AAP Goa stated that the party will continue expanding its footprint across tribal and rural regions, focusing on issues of healthcare, livelihood, education and social justice.
