The caller then morphed the MLA's face onto explicit material and sent it back, demanding money in exchange for not making the video public.The MLA, fearing the consequences, transferred Rs 55,000 to the accused. However, the extortionist demanded an additional Rs 5 crore, threatening to share the video on social media. Fortunately, the Crime Branch acted swiftly, arresting the accused, Kukesh Rauta from Odisha.
