The education directorate issued the final notification, officially announcing the commencement of the academic year 2025-26 from April 7, 2025 for Class VI to Class X and Class XII. Students of these classes will have to attend the school only till 11.30 am, up to April 30, after which they will have the summer vacation from May 1 to June 3. Their classes will reopen on June 4, with normal school timings. The notification has added that there will be a break of one week between the end of the academic year 2024-25 and the beginning of the new academic year 2025-26, for the said classes. The first term for these classes will be held from April 7 to October 15, while the second term will be held from November 4 to March 24, 2026. The first summative/first-term exam will be held so as to end on October 7.
