PANAJI: The All India Congress Committee has approved a 29-member Political Affairs Committee for the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, with immediate effect.
AICC leader Manikrao Thakare has been appointed Chairman of the committee. The panel includes GPCC President Girish Chodankar, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, AICC Co-in-charge Dr Anjali Nimbalkar, MLA Amit Patkar and several senior party leaders and functionaries.
Former Union Minister Eduardo Faleiro, former MP Francisco Sardinha, former minister Ramakant Khalap and other senior Congress leaders are also part of the committee.
The AICC said the PAC will serve as the political affairs body of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee. State heads of all Congress frontal organisations will be Ex-Officio Members.
