Arvind Kejriwal along with Goa Prabhari Atishi, State President Valmiki Naik and other State leaders, paid tribute to Goa’s freedom fighter on Goa Revolution Day. Remembering Goa’s freedom fighters, Kejriwal said that on this day, Goans defied arbitrary Order of Salazar’s dictatorship and Marched to Lohia Maidan, commemorating the Civil Disobedience Movement in Goa, that led to Goa’s liberation.
Condemning detention of Karapur Protestors, Kejriwal said that, on the same day today, the Karapur protesters who peacefully marched to azad maidan demanding scrapping off of lodha project were mercilessly detained by the BJP Government, showing that BJP government used the same dictatorial practices like Portuguese by suppressing people’s voices and just how Goans unitedly broke the arrogance of Portuguese, BJP’s arrogance will be shattered too.
