Calangute police have arrested suspected accused Deepra (36), a resident of Bandora, Ponda for snatching a chain. One Ramesh Dhandapani, a native of Muthur, Tamil Nadu had lodged a complaint that on November 4, at around 1.30 am at Khobrawaddo, Calangute, an unidentified person arrived on a scooter and snatched his gold chain which he was wearing around his neck and fled towards the Calangute side. The gold chain weighed 24 grams and is worth around Rs 1.8 lakh. Acting on the complaint, accused was arrested.
