PANAJI: Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar is scheduled to visit Goa on September 2 and 3 to review preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections.
During the two-day visit, Kumar will interact with election officials and review issues related to electoral rolls, voting procedures and the overall electoral process across all 40 Assembly constituencies.
The Election Commission of India will also hold a regional conference on “ELC and ECINET” in Goa. Around 500 Booth Level Officers are expected to participate on September 2.
A larger conference will be held on September 3, covering all 40 constituencies and involving around 1,000 participants, including representatives from educational institutions.
The visit is aimed at strengthening coordination among election officials and assessing Goa’s preparedness for the upcoming electoral exercise.
