Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has assured Goa’s pre-primary teachers that their long-pending demand for salary revision and other service benefits will be addressed by October.
Around 3,000 teachers across nearly 800 schools are seeking better pay and service conditions, with many claiming to have served for nearly 20 years without a revision.
Meanwhile, the CM also announced plans to launch CM Avas Yojana, aimed at providing homes to eligible Niz Goemkars by utilising vacant Housing Board and Rehabilitation Board flats.
