Margao: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant attended and addressed the “Mathagram Mahila Melavo” organised by the BJP Mahila Morcha, Margao, where he highlighted the government’s initiatives aimed at promoting women’s education, safety, skill development and economic empowerment.
The programme was attended by BJP Goa President Damu Naik, Minister Digambar Kamat, MLAs, BJP Mahila Morcha office-bearers and party workers.
Addressing the gathering, Sawant reiterated the government’s commitment to “Saksharta, Surakshita ani Swayampurnata” — education, safety and self-reliance for women.
The Chief Minister highlighted various initiatives undertaken for women’s safety, education, skill development and economic empowerment. He said that empowering women is crucial to achieving the vision of a Viksit Goa and Viksit Bharat.
Sawant also encouraged the Mahila Morcha members and women across the state to continue playing an active role in Goa’s development and nation-building.
He emphasised that women’s participation and empowerment would remain an important component of the government’s development agenda.
