The Quepem police received a call from PCR Panaji informing them of the incident. Upon arrival, officers found the body recovered from the well and placed nearby. The deceased was identified by her husband, and no external injuries were noted. During the investigation, it was revealed that Deepti had gone to the well to wash clothes when she accidentally fell in.
