PANAJI: Chandu V. Korgaonkar, photographer with the Department of Information and Publicity (DIP), was honoured with the prestigious ‘Patrakar Mitra’ Award at the Lokmanya Tilak Punyatithi programme organised by the Sanguem-Quepem Patrakar Sangh in Sanvordem.
The award was presented by Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phal Dessai and Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar in recognition of Korgaonkar’s outstanding contribution to journalism and his dedicated service to the media fraternity through photography.
The Department of Information and Publicity praised Korgaonkar for his professionalism, commitment, and consistent efforts in capturing significant public events. It described the honour as a proud moment for the department and extended its congratulations, expressing confidence that he would continue preserving important moments through his lens and earn many more accolades in the future.
