Dona Paula Man Allegedly Cheated of ₹22,800 in Portugal Courier Deal

PONDA: Ponda Police have registered a case after a Dona Paula resident alleged that he was cheated of ₹22,800 in connection with the shipment of two paintings to Portugal.

According to the complaint filed by Aires Rodrigues, a representative of Urban Packers and Movers, operating near Savitri Hall at Nagzar, Curti, allegedly assured him that the paintings would be transported from Dona Paula to Bobadela, Portugal.

Rodrigues reportedly handed over the two paintings to the company and paid ₹22,800 towards the shipment charges as per the quotation provided.

However, the complainant alleged that despite receiving the payment and the paintings, the consignment was not delivered to the intended recipient.

He further claimed that repeated attempts to track the shipment and seek its delivery did not yield any result.

Based on the complaint, Ponda Police registered a case in connection with the alleged cheating and non-delivery of the consignment.

PSI Pratik Bhat Prabhu of Ponda Police Station is conducting further investigation into the matter.
