The North Goa District Magistrate has declared Lok Bhavan, Dona Paula, and the surrounding 500-metre area, including the coastline, a No-Fly Zone for unauthorised drones.
The decision follows two unidentified drone sightings over the Lok Bhavan premises on July 12 and July 15. Police cited security concerns involving the Governor and the protected premises.
The order will remain effective for 60 days from July 24, unless withdrawn earlier. Violators will face action under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
