PALE, SANKHALI: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated a free health camp organised by the Matoshri Padmini Educational Society as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan in Pale, Sankhali.
The camp aims to bring essential healthcare services closer to the local community. Residents were provided with free medical consultations, diabetes and blood pressure check-ups, BMI screening and ECG facilities. The camp also offered consultations in Ayurveda and physiotherapy.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pramod Sawant highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare, saying that such initiatives can help in the early detection of health issues and encourage people to prioritise their well-being.
The Chief Minister reiterated the vision of “Swastha Goa, Samriddh Goa” — a Healthy Goa is a Prosperous Goa, stating that while the government continues to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and services, the involvement of community organisations and citizens further strengthens healthcare efforts across the state.
The initiative under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan seeks to promote greater awareness about preventive healthcare and make basic health services more accessible to people in the community.
