PORVORIM: Two Goa Cricket Association officials have been booked following allegations that they used criminal force, threats and intimidation to obstruct a chartered accountant during an audit at the GCA office in Porvorim.
According to the complaint filed on August 31, the auditor was appointed by the Registration Department, Government of Goa, to conduct an audit of GCA records.
The complainant alleged that on August 26, GCA Secretary Tulsidas Shetye and GCA official Harish Shinde used force and allegedly compelled him to sign a document while he was carrying out the audit.
They are also accused of allegedly restraining, abusing and threatening the auditor and preventing him from performing his professional duties.
Police have registered a case, with further investigation being conducted by PSI Arun Shirodkar.
The allegations are under investigation and do not amount to a finding of guilt.
