Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant led the state-level International Yoga Day celebrations held at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium near Panaji on Sunday. The event saw participation from Union Minister Shripad Naik, Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar, along with several officials and citizens who performed various yoga asanas together.
The programme was formally inaugurated by the Chief Minister in the presence of senior leaders. Addressing the gathering, Sawant highlighted the importance of yoga in maintaining physical, mental, and emotional well-being and urged citizens to make it a daily practice.
He said regular yoga practice helps build a healthier and more balanced society. The Chief Minister also shared that he personally practices yoga daily and has experienced its benefits. He appreciated the large turnout and participation from across the state.
