Panaji, August 10, 2026: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee held a comprehensive strategic planning and organisational strengthening meeting with representatives from all 40 Assembly constituencies of Goa, focusing on strengthening the party organisation at the grassroots level and preparing the party for the upcoming elections.
The meeting, held in Grace Majestic Hotel-Margao, was presided over by AICC In-charge for Goa Manikrao Thakare and witnessed the presence of GPCC President Girish Chodankar, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, and Working Presidents M. K. Shaikh, Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira, Altone D’Costa and Sunil Kawthankar were on the dais.
The meeting was attended by District Presidents Assis Noronha, Rajesh Verekar, Shashank Narvekar and Mangaldas Naik, along with Mahila Congress Chief Pratiksha Khalap, Goa Pradesh Youth Congress President Archit Naik, Seva Dal Chief Organiser Rajan Ghate, and office-bearers of the GPCC.
Block Presidents and executive members from all 40 constituencies actively participated in the deliberations, sharing their views, suggestions and constituency-level inputs. The discussions focused on strengthening booth-level organisation, improving coordination among party workers, increasing public outreach and ensuring greater participation of grassroots workers in the party’s organisational activities.
Addressing the gathering, the leadership emphasised the need for unity, discipline, collective responsibility and sustained engagement with the people. The meeting also discussed strategies to effectively take up issues concerning the people of Goa and build a stronger, more responsive and people-oriented Congress organisation across the State.
The enthusiasm and participation of Congress workers throughout the meeting reflected the renewed energy, commitment and determination within the organisation. The active involvement of leaders and grassroots workers from all 40 constituencies demonstrated the collective resolve to strengthen the Congress at every level.
The meeting concluded on a positive and confident note, with the leadership expressing satisfaction over the organisational preparedness and enthusiasm among party workers. The Congress leadership called upon all office-bearers and workers to work together with renewed determination and carry the party’s message of unity, service and commitment to the people of Goa to every household.
