NEW DELHI: Goa Congress leaders met AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal in New Delhi on Wednesday to discuss strengthening the party’s organisation and grassroots network in the state.
GPCC President Girish Chodankar, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao and Goa AICC In-charge Manikrao Thakare discussed plans to consolidate the party across all 40 Assembly constituencies and increase coordination among party workers.
The meeting also reviewed preparations for AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge’s August 17 visit to Goa, where he is scheduled to interact with booth-level workers, Block Committees, frontal organisations and state and district office-bearers.
Congress leaders said the focus is on building a stronger, united and election-ready organisation through greater grassroots engagement.
