Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday flagged off four advanced ambulances for the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) to strengthen Goa’s highway emergency response system.
Procured under the Disaster Management initiative at a cost of ₹1.43 crore, the ambulances will be dedicated to providing swift medical assistance to road accident victims and other emergency cases. The move aims to ensure timely lifesaving care and improve the state’s preparedness during disasters and medical emergencies.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and senior health officials were present at the ceremony.
