USGAO: Goa has launched an intensified HIV/AIDS awareness campaign on International Youth Day, focusing on prevention, testing, treatment and reducing stigma associated with HIV.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane launched the campaign at Usgao-Ganjem in collaboration with the National AIDS Control Organisation and Goa State AIDS Control Society.
The campaign will target villages, schools and young people, while also expanding HIV and Syphilis screening among expectant mothers and improving access to healthcare services.
Authorities will promote the National AIDS Helpline 1097 and the SOCH App, including QR-code-based access to services.
Rane stressed the importance of accurate information, dignity and timely healthcare in Goa’s fight against HIV/AIDS.
