Goa Introduces New Traffic Management System: No More Stops, But Challans Will Follow

In a bid to streamline traffic management, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has announced that public and tourists will no longer be stopped for traffic violations on the road. However, this doesn't mean lawbreakers will go unpunished . Instead, Goa police personnel will capture violations using their phones, and challans will be directly delivered to the residential address of vehicle owners.

How Challans Will Be Issued:

AI Systems: Challans will be issued based on data from AI systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Dash Cams and CCTV Cams: Footage from dash cams and CCTV cameras will be used to identify traffic violators.

Photos by Cops: Police personnel will take photos of traffic violations, which will serve as evidence for issuing challans.

This new system aims to promote a safer and more responsible driving culture in Goa. With the help of technology, the state government hopes to reduce traffic congestion and minimize the risk of accidents .
