Goa Police’s Anti-Narcotic Cell arrested a female Russian DJ for possessing a commercial quantity of GHB (Gamma Hydroxy Butyrate) worth ₹16 lakhs. GHB, also referred to as Liquid Ecstasy or Date Rape Drug, is notorious in party circuits. Additionally, the DJ had Ganja valued at ₹3,600. This is the first instance of GHB being seized in Goa. The operation followed intelligence gathered after a recent LSD papers bust involving a Kerala youth. The raid was led and conducted by PSI Sunil Falkar assisted by HC Eustaquio Fernandes, PCs Sachin Atoskar, Vishal Shitole, LPCs Deepa Bandekar, Jyoti Naik and PC Driver Kundan Patekar under the supervision of PI ANC Sajith Pillai and overall supervision, monitoring and guidance of DySP ANC Shri Gurudas KAdam and SP ANC Shri Tikam Singh Verma, IPS.
