Panaji: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has said that the Goa government and police will not tolerate incidents of gun firing in the state and directed the authorities to arrest the suspects involved in the recent firing incident at the earliest.
Speaking about the incident, Sawant said that this was the first time during his tenure as Chief Minister that a businessman had been shot at.
“Neither the government nor the police department will spare those responsible for such incidents under any circumstances,” the Chief Minister said.
Sawant said the exact motive behind the firing would become clear soon. He added that directions had been issued to the police to apprehend the suspects as quickly as possible.
The Chief Minister assured that strict action would be taken against those involved in the incident and that such acts of violence would not be tolerated in Goa.
