Panaji: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC), under the leadership of its President Shri Girish R. Chodankar, has announced the appointment of new Block Presidents for three Assembly Constituencies in Kushavati District as part of the party’s ongoing organisational strengthening initiative.
The following appointments have been approved with immediate effect:
• Shri Gaspar Joseph Coutinho has been appointed as the Block President of Canacona Assembly Constituency.
• Shri Diogo Fernandes has been appointed as the Block President of Sanguem Assembly Constituency.
• Shri Vithal Xembu Naique has been appointed as the Block President of Quepem Assembly Constituency.
The GPCC has expressed its appreciation for the dedicated service and valuable contributions of the outgoing Block Presidents—Shri Able T. Borges, Shri Jitendra Naik, and Shri Avadoot Amonkar—and extended its best wishes to them for their future assignments within the organisation.
GPCC President Shri Girish R. Chodankar stated that these appointments are aimed at further strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and enhancing organisational outreach across the Kushavati District. He expressed confidence that the newly appointed Block Presidents will work tirelessly to strengthen the Congress organisation, connect with people at the booth and village levels, and effectively champion the issues concerning the people of their respective constituencies.
