Bandivade: On the auspicious occasion of the Suvarn Palang Arpan Sohala and Kasht Shilp Navrang Arpan Sohala at the revered Shree Mahalaxmi Saunsthan, Bandivade, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Shri Girish Chodankar, accompanied by Leader of Opposition Shri Yuri Alemao, offered prayers and sought the divine blessings of Shree Devi Mahalaxmi for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Goa.
The sacred ceremonies, held in an atmosphere of profound devotion and spiritual fervour, celebrated the rich religious and cultural traditions associated with the ancient temple. Shri Chodankar offered prayers for harmony, progress, and the continued preservation of Goa’s timeless spiritual heritage.
On this holy occasion, Shri Girish Chodankar and Shri Yuri Alemao were also blessed with the divine darshan and blessings of His Holiness Srimad Vidyadheesh Teerth Swamiji Maharaj, the revered Mathadheesh of Gokarn Partagalli Jeevottam Math, whose guidance continues to inspire countless devotees.
Joining them in the sacred celebrations were Shri Damodar Bhatkar, Shri Kiran Nayak, Shri Dattaprasad Madhukar Naik (President, Madkai Gram Education Society), GPCC Spokesperson Shri Samil Volvoikar, General Secretary Shri Pradeep Naik, Kushavati District Congress President Shri Rajesh Vernekar, Adv. Vishnu Naik, GPCC Spokesperson Shri Mahesh Mhambre, and Shri Sidhanath Buyao, along with several devotees and well-wishers.
Speaking after offering prayers, Shri Girish Chodankar said that Goa’s ancient temples and spiritual institutions are enduring symbols of faith, unity, and cultural identity. He expressed hope that the blessings of Shree Devi Mahalaxmi and His Holiness Srimad Vidyadheesh Teerth Swamiji Maharaj would guide every Goan with wisdom, strength, compassion, and prosperity, while fostering peace and harmony across the State.
The visit reaffirmed the Congress Party’s deep respect for Goa’s rich spiritual traditions and its commitment to preserving the State’s unique cultural and religious heritage.
