CANACONA: A Honda Activa scooter worth approximately ₹58,000 was allegedly stolen from the garage of a residence at Kolsar, Galgibaga, in a daylight theft incident, police said.
According to Canacona Police, the theft took place on June 29 between 10.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. when an unidentified person allegedly made away with the scooter parked inside the garage of a house owned by Abel Barreto.
The owner discovered the vehicle missing soon after and subsequently lodged a complaint with the police.
Following the complaint, Canacona Police registered a case under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against an unknown person.
Police have begun an investigation to trace the accused and recover the stolen scooter. Further inquiries are underway.
