MARGAO: An unidentified man, believed to be around 30 to 35 years old, was found lying near Arsekar Shop, opposite Joseph Bar at Old Market, Fatorda, on August 17.
Police said they received information about the man at around 2.30 pm from Robot staff. A police team reached the spot and, with the assistance of 108 Emergency Services, shifted him to South Goa District Hospital in Margao.
However, the doctor on duty declared him brought dead.
The deceased has been kept at the South Goa District Hospital for medico-legal formalities. His identity has not yet been established.
Fatorda Police have registered an Unnatural Death case, U.D. No. 31/2026, under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023.
Further investigation is being conducted by LPSI Sukhada Prabhudessai of Fatorda Police Station.
