PONDA: Beneficiaries in Ponda can collect their monthly foodgrain quota without carrying the physical ration card, provided their Aadhaar-based authentication is successfully completed.
The Ponda Civil Supplies Office said FPS dealers cannot insist on a physical ration card once the beneficiary has been properly authenticated through Aadhaar.
Beneficiaries can provide an Aadhaar card, Aadhaar number, ration card copy/photo, or ration card number for verification.
The office has warned that denying foodgrains solely because a beneficiary does not have the physical ration card will be viewed seriously.
