NSUI-Goa Submits Memorandum Seeking Inquiry into Alleged NEET-UG Examination Irregularity at Pernem Centre

Panaji, June 22: The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI)-Goa has submitted a memorandum to the North Goa Collector demanding an immediate inquiry into an alleged examination irregularity during the NEET-UG examination conducted at Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College & Research Centre, Virnoda, Pernem.

According to complaints received from students, around 20 candidates in Examination Hall AG-07 were allegedly asked to stop writing and had their question papers and answer sheets collected nearly 15 minutes before the scheduled conclusion of the examination, while candidates in other halls at the same centre were reportedly allowed to continue until the official closing time.

NSUI-Goa has urged the district administration to verify the allegations through CCTV footage, attendance records, examination documents, and statements of affected students and examination staff. The student body has also demanded an independent inquiry and appropriate remedial measures if the allegations are found to be true.

Stating that every student deserves a fair and equal opportunity in a national-level competitive examination, NSUI-Goa has called upon the authorities to act swiftly and ensure justice for the affected candidates. The memorandum was submitted by NSUI leaders Kumar Gauli, Sadashiv Badiger, Harsh Dessai and Zayd Shaikh.
