Police Head Constable in distress found near Atal Sethu, inquiry ordered

Panaji: The Sub Divisional Police Officer, Mapusa has been asked to inquire about the incident wherein a police head constable in distress was found near Atal Sethu.Police said that on Monday, an information was received in Superintend of Police (North Goa) office about a staff - Head Constable Tukaram Shirodkar who is originally attached to Mapusa police station but temporarily attached to North District Reserve Line Force.The information mentioned that the staff was in distress."Acting on the information, a search was launched for the said staff, as his present whereabouts were unclear.Later on, he was found near Atal Setu, from where the PCR staff and Porvorim PS staff send him to Goa Medical College for first aid and counselling," police said.
