Margao, October 17, 2026: Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will join the grand culmination of the Gõy Rakhonn Yatra on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in Margao, as the Congress intensifies its campaign to protect Goa’s land, identity and the rights of its people.
According to a press note issued by the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC), the Yatra will arrive at Daivadnya Bhavan, Calconda, at 3:00 PM, after passing through Perpetual Succour Ground and Lohia Maidan in Margao. The procession will then proceed towards Dr. Rajendra Prasad Stadium (MMC Ground), Margao, for the culmination.
The Congress has appealed to Goans across the state to participate in large numbers and make the concluding event a strong demonstration of public unity and determination to safeguard Goa’s future.
The Gõy Rakhonn Yatra has been positioned by the Congress as a movement highlighting concerns over Goa’s land, identity and the voice of its people. The party is urging citizens to come together in support of these issues.
Emphasising the message of collective action, the Congress has called upon Goans to stand united in defence of the state’s interests.
“Fearless in spirit. Unstoppable in purpose. Together, let us make Goa’s voice heard!” the press note stated.
The grand culmination is expected to bring together Congress leaders, party workers and supporters in Margao on Sunday.
