PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane reviewed Goa’s cancer care infrastructure and ongoing screening initiatives during a meeting with doctors and healthcare officials.
The meeting focused on strengthening chemotherapy and day-care facilities at district hospitals, expanding the Cancer Screening Abhiyan and providing free AI-powered screening for early detection.
Rane also reviewed healthcare camps being conducted across all talukas and discussed the roadmap for the upcoming State Cancer Hospital, including its proposed facilities and development plans.
He said the government’s focus remains on early detection, timely treatment, improved infrastructure and accessible healthcare services.
