PANAJI: The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) has issued a statement addressing recent remarks made by party member Viresh Borkar, saying he attended the Core Executive Committee (CEC) meeting held on May 30, 2026, under protest.
The party stated that Borkar submitted a written protest during the meeting, which has been officially recorded as part of the CEC proceedings to reflect his position. It also noted that some of his supporters staged a demonstration outside the meeting venue while the session was underway.
According to the RGP, despite formally placing his objections on record, Borkar has continued to make what the party describes as false and misleading allegations against the organisation, its office bearers and the Core Executive Committee.
The statement further claimed that Borkar submitted his written protest only after visiting the party office following nearly 70 days of what it described as “strategic silence.”
The RGP has urged Viresh Borkar to avoid making unsubstantiated public statements, uphold party discipline, and respect the decisions taken collectively by the party leadership.
