PANAJI: Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) MLA Viresh Borkar on Tuesday met Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Damodar Morajkar to review ongoing and proposed development works across the region and discuss measures to expedite pending projects.
The meeting was attended by Zilla Panchayat members Trupti Bakal, representing the St. Lawrence Constituency, and Esperanza Braganza from the St. Cruz Constituency.
During the meeting, the delegation held detailed discussions on improving public infrastructure, accelerating developmental projects, and ensuring the timely implementation of works undertaken by the Zilla Panchayat.
Viresh Borkar stressed the importance of stronger coordination between the Zilla Panchayat and various government departments to ensure that development projects are completed without unnecessary delays. He also highlighted several public issues requiring immediate attention and urged the administration to expedite pending works in the interest of the people.
Responding to the concerns, CEO Damodar Morajkar assured the delegation that the issues raised would be examined and that necessary steps would be taken to ensure the timely execution of development projects.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the elected representatives and the Zilla Panchayat administration to work together towards transparent, accountable, and people-centric development across the St. André, St. Lawrence, and St. Cruz constituencies.
