Siolim: The vibrant spirit of Goa’s monsoon festival will come alive in Siolim on June 24 as locals and visitors gather to celebrate the much-loved Viva Siolim São João 2026 with traditional customs, colourful festivities, and cultural performances.
One of the major highlights of the celebration will be the Grand Boat Parade, scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM. The parade will feature beautifully decorated floating tableaux, lively music, energetic dance performances, and a festive carnival atmosphere along the river, promising a visual treat for spectators.
The event will also showcase the traditional Oze ceremony, a cherished São João custom in which seasonal fruits and sweets are shared among family, friends, and neighbours, symbolising joy, unity, and community bonding.
As the celebrations continue into the evening, visitors will be entertained with a variety of cultural programmes and live musical performances. Popular artists Johnny B Gud, Reza, and Black In White are set to perform, adding to the festive excitement.
The celebrations will take place opposite St. Anthony’s Church, Siolim, bringing together residents, tourists, and culture enthusiasts to experience the unique traditions and festive charm of São João.
Organisers have invited everyone to wear their colourful kopels, immerse themselves in the festivities, and celebrate one of Goa’s most iconic monsoon festivals.
