PANAJI: Secretary (Health) Yatindra Maralkar, IAS, on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the State Task Force Committee for Routine Immunization and the Pulse Polio Programme (National Immunization Day) 2025 to assess the progress of key public health initiatives.The meeting reviewed the current status of routine immunization across Goa, the state’s efforts toward Measles–Rubella (MR) elimination, and ongoing surveillance activities. Officials also discussed preparations for the upcoming National Immunization Day, including logistics, manpower planning, and outreach strategies.Director of Health Services Dr. Rupa Naik, State Immunization Officer Dr. Uttam Desai, and other committee members attended the meeting.Health officials said the state is focused on strengthening coverage and ensuring smooth execution of the Pulse Polio campaign early next year.
