ALDONA: Goa Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte on Wednesday inaugurated a series of development initiatives by laying the foundation stones for key tourism and community infrastructure projects across the Aldona constituency.
The ceremony was attended by Aldona MLA Carlos Alvares Ferreira, GTDC Managing Director Kuldeep Arolkar, panchayat representatives, government officials, temple committee members and local residents.
The projects include the restoration and beautification of the Children’s Park at Nachinola, beautification and decorative lighting at Shree Devi Jagbai Prasann Devasthan, and the beautification of Shree Krishna Panch Pandav Devasthan in the Village Panchayat of Ucassaim, Paliem and Punola.
Addressing the gathering, Khaunte instructed officials to ensure the works are completed within the stipulated timeframe so that residents can benefit without delay.
Local panchayat representatives thanked the Tourism Department for supporting development in the constituency and expressed confidence that the projects would improve public amenities while preserving the area’s cultural and religious heritage.
The development works are expected to enhance community spaces, strengthen local tourism infrastructure and contribute to the conservation of Goa’s traditional landmarks.
