Two Injured After Kadamba Bus Collides with CNG Super Carry Near Codli

DHARBANDORA: Two persons sustained injuries after a Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) bus allegedly collided with a CNG Super Carry rickshaw near PTI Mine at Mallarimol, Codli Dabal, on July 20.

According to Curchorem Police, the accident took place at around 2.10 pm when the KTC bus, driven by Ratnakar Gaonkar of Santona, Codli, was allegedly being driven in a rash and negligent manner while travelling from Codli Tisk Dabal towards Mallarimol village.

Police said the bus crashed into an oncoming CNG Super Carry rickshaw, causing the vehicle to overturn onto its right side.

The rickshaw driver, Navin Wagmode, a resident of Azad Nagar, Margao, originally from Dharwad, Karnataka, and co-driver Samson Nirua suffered injuries in the collision.

Curchorem Police have registered a case against the bus driver, and further investigation is being conducted by Head Constable Shrikrishna Naik.
