SINQUERIM: An unidentified male body, estimated to be that of a man aged between 40 and 54 years, was found floating in the sea near Sinquerim Jetty in Bardez on August 29, 2026.
Police received information about the body from the Police Control Room (PCR), Panaji, at around 4:57 pm. Fire Brigade personnel assisted in recovering the body from the water.
After completing the necessary police formalities, the deceased was shifted to the Goa Medical College (GMC) Morgue at Bambolim for preservation.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted as part of the investigation. Police are yet to establish the identity of the deceased or determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
Further investigation is being carried out under the supervision of PSI Prajit Mandrekar.
