VALPOI: Forest Minister Vishwajit Rane reviewed the progress of the RFID-enabled scientific waste management project in Valpoi and Usgao, aimed at improving efficiency, transparency and accountability in waste management.
During the review meeting, officials assessed the roadmap to achieve 100 per cent scientific waste management and discussed strategies to move towards Zero Waste status through better monitoring, implementation and service delivery.
Rane said the RFID-based system is helping build a smarter and more accountable waste management framework in both Valpoi and Usgao. He added that the Goa government plans to gradually expand the technology-driven model to municipalities across the state, with the goal of creating cleaner, healthier and more sustainable communities.
