Ponda;AAP leaders Valmiki Naik, Sandesh Teleikar Dessai and Minu Gawade slammed the BJP government after visiting the Ponda ID Hospital on 16th February to assess the ground reality and interact with patients. The leaders stated that the situation on the ground is far worse than the government’s claims.AAP revealed shocking findings from the visit and crucial data from LAQ like 110 vacancies remain unfilled, including key posts such as Medical Superintendent, Surgeon, Radiologist, Paediatrician, Psychiatrist, Neurologist and Lab Technicians. Referrals from Ponda to GMC have increased by 400% in last 3 years. The hospital lacks CT scan facility, ICU ward and blood bank.AAP demanded that the BJP government immediately upgrade Ponda ID Hospital into a super speciality hospital, warning that the party will launch a Jan Andolan if urgent action is not taken.
