North Goa, October 5, 2025* — In a fiery address to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) volunteers in North Goa, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal launched a scathing attack on Goa’s political establishment, vowing to end 60 years of “family rule” and bring in a new era of honest governance. Kejriwal declared, *“This time, Goa’s system will change.”*He accused both the BJP and Congress of keeping power within 13-14 political families, alleging they have looted the state for decades. *“Earlier their grandfathers ruled, then their sons, now their grandsons. Why can’t ordinary Goans contest elections?”* Kejriwal asked. He further blamed the BJP for 13 years of corruption, unemployment, poor infrastructure, and rising crime, calling it a “gundaraj”.Referring to the recent assault on activist Rama Kankonkar, Kejriwal said, *“If you raise your voice, they beat you. They rule through fear.”* Highlighting poor roads and water shortages, he questioned the misuse of public funds, comparing it with AAP’s work in Punjab and Delhi.Joining him on stage were AAP leaders Atishi, Goa President Amit Palekar, MLAs Venzy Viegas and Cruz Silva, and party workers. Atishi said that despite the people defeating the BJP in 2017 and 2022, the Congress helped them return to power by switching sides. She accused the BJP of threatening citizens and spreading drugs and crime in the state.*“Goa may have been freed from Portuguese rule, but today it remains trapped under the control of 14 families,”* said Amit Palekar. He urged people to reclaim their land and restore true democracy.Venzy Viegas and Cruz Silva, AAP’s two MLAs in Goa, reiterated their commitment to honest politics and slammed successive governments for denying basic services like water and electricity. General Secretary Shrikrishna Parab concluded the event by stating that this was not just AAP’s fight but a fight for every Goan who wants their state back.AAP called on Goans to unite and give the party a full mandate in 2027 to end family rule, corruption, and fear.
