The leaders said that the ongoing works are a direct result of people’s pressure and AAP’s consistent #BJPCheBurak campaign to fix Calangute’s deteriorating road infrastructure.AAP Leader Manuel Cardozo said, “After our protest in Calangute last month, the government has finally started repairing the roads. But we will not allow shoddy or temporary patchwork in the name of road repairs. The people of Calangute deserve durable, safe, and properly maintained roads, not another round of patch work before elections.”AAP Leader John Fernandes added, “Calangute is Goa’s tourism hub and tourist season has already started. When tourists come here and see broken, pothole-ridden roads, it sends the wrong message about state.
