AITC Demands DGCA to disclose the names of the Airlines & Airports where lapses have been found.

Date: June 26, 2025 Location: Panaji* *The All India Trinamool Congress (AITC), Goa today held a press conference addressed by Mariano Rodrigues, Convenor, AITC Goa, and Trajano D’Mello, National Spokesperson, demanding Demands DGCA to disclose the names of the Airlines & Airports, where lapses have been found. In the backdrop of the June 12 Ahmedabad air crash, the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued an order on 19th June, 2025 to initiate a focused assessment of the aviation ecosystem. While the DGCA listed a number of problems that it found during its comprehensive surveillance, conveniently it did not name the airports or the aircraft in which they were found.D’Mello came down heavily on DGCA, for not disclosing the name of Airlines & airports, thereby risking the lives of Passengers, in order to protect the profit interest of the Airlines & Airports.Mariano Rodrigues emphasized that the Dabolim Airport is is seating on a ticking time bomb, & nobody knows when it will explode. D’mello Clarified and Quoted from High Court Order, How MLA of Dabolim Constituency & seating Panchayat Minister was a part of decision making body, negating the Navy’s guidelines in connection with high rise buildings, which were a threat to the Airport & Aircraft.The Navy authorities have informed by letter dated 7/5/2018 to the Chief Secretary & other Govt. departments that “All the above buildings provide uninterrupted view of the Naval Air Station and operation area of Dabolim Airport and could be used by inimical elements to gather valuable intelligence which would be severely detrimental to national and civil aviation security. Such intelligence could become a precursor to nay breach of security by usage of short range weapons against aviation targets. These buildings fall within 500 M boundaries of INS Hansa.” From 2018 till date no measures has been taken by the so called pseudo- nationalist Minister Mauvin Godhino, He alleged.
