BJP Turns Goa’s Governance into a Political PR Circus: Public Funds Misused for Party Promotion– Amit Patkar, President, GPCC

Panjim:Goa Pradesh Congress Committee strongly condemns the blatant misuse of public funds and government platforms by the BJP for its party propaganda. The recent incident where BJP Goa President Damu Naik was seen seated on the official dais of a government-funded event ‘Mhaje Ghar Yojana’, attended by Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, exposes the complete erosion of democratic norms and governance ethics in Goa.We ask a simple question — Who authorised the BJP State President to occupy an official seat at a government event funded by taxpayers? This is not governance; it is shameless political advertising at the cost of Goans. The BJP Government in Goa has turned every official platform into a party campaign stage, using public money, government officers, and official machinery to push its narrow political interests. Such conduct is an insult to the people of Goa who expect accountability, not propaganda. It is shocking that while Goans are struggling with unemployment, inflation, and crumbling infrastructure, the BJP Government prioritises photo-ops and event management over real governance. The Congress demands that the Chief Minister clarify under what authority BJP President Damu Naik was allowed on the official dais of a state event and whether the event’s expenses were borne by the public exchequer.Goa will not remain silent while the BJP converts every government initiative into a party-owned PR exercise. Governance belongs to the people — not to the BJP’s propaganda machinery.*Amit Patkar*President, *Goa Pradesh Congress Committee*
