PANAJI: RGP women leaders, led by Zilla Panchayat representative Trupti Bakal, have condemned alleged derogatory remarks made by expelled party member Ajay Kholkar against RGP State President Shavina Naik Shirodkar.
The women leaders termed the alleged remarks unacceptable and said political differences should never become an excuse for personal attacks or disrespect towards women.
RGP has demanded a public and unconditional apology from Kholkar within 12 hours. The party also clarified that he has no authority to represent RGP or use its name following his expulsion.
Reiterating its stand on women's dignity and equality, the party said disrespect towards women in public and political life should not be tolerated.
