Census 2027: Goa Residents Can Complete Online Self-Enumeration From November 16

PANAJI: Goa residents can submit their household details online ahead of Census 2027, with the self-enumeration facility open from November 16 to November 30.

The Directorate of Census Operations, Goa, has launched the facility through the official portal, se.census.gov.in, allowing households to fill in the census questionnaire before officials visit their homes.

Residents will need to select Goa, choose their preferred language, verify their mobile number through OTP and enter the required household details. After submission, an 11-digit Self-Enumeration ID (SE ID) will be generated, which must be shared with the enumerator during verification.

The physical household enumeration will take place from December 1, 2026, to January 4, 2027. Officials will verify the information submitted online, while details will be collected again if verification is unsuccessful.

The questionnaire will cover 40 questions related to household members, education, language, employment, migration, disability and other demographic details.

The Directorate has clarified that census participation is mandatory under the Census Act, 1948, while individual responses remain confidential and are used for statistical purposes.
